Gluten-free isn’t just a choice in our home… It’s part of our everyday life 💛
One of my teenagers is coeliac, so over the years I’ve learned how important it is to keep things simple, safe, and 100% gluten-free. What started as something overwhelming slowly became part of our normal routine, but it definitely came with a learning curve.
From reading every label to avoiding cross-contamination – it’s not always easy, especially with a busy family and everyday life. Even small things can make a difference, and you really start to see how much awareness and planning it takes.
Our kitchen is about 90% gluten-free. All of our cooking is gluten-free, and the only separate space we keep is for things like bread for the rest of the family, always clearly organised and labelled. It’s a system that works for us and makes daily cooking feel much more manageable.
It’s not about being perfect, but about creating a space where cooking feels safe, calm, and realistic every day. Over time, this also naturally led us to cook more at home, not just for safety, but also for better ingredients, more control, and overall health.
Gluten-free cooking doesn’t have to be complicated or restrictive. With the right approach, it can be simple, nourishing, and enjoyable, and that’s something I really believe in.
This is also why I love creating gluten-free recipes that are practical, reliable, and actually taste good – recipes that fit into real life, not just special occasions.
If you’re navigating a gluten-free lifestyle too, whether it’s new or something you’ve been doing for years – you’re not alone 🤍
